How to calculate the inventory age and storage fee of products imported in batches?
For the product inventory imported in batch, the inventory age is calculated according to the filled in receipt time. After the import is completed, the storage fee is calculated using the storage fee rules. The specific calculation method is as follows:
Case 1: The WMS warehouse has a free storage period of 15 days. The receiving time filled in during the import is 14 days before the import. The system has calculated the inventory age of the product for 14 days, so the storage fee will be calculated from the second day after the import.
Case 2: The WMS warehouse has a free storage period of 15 days. The receiving time filled in during the import is 20 days before the import. The system has calculated the inventory age of the product for 20 days, and it has exceeded the rent free period for 5 days. The storage fee will be calculated from the date of import and will be calculated according to the warehousing rate of 5 days. However, the storage fee of 5 days before the import will not be calculated, and the warehouse needs to use other methods to settle.
Case 3: If the free storage period is not set in WMS, the receiving time filled in during the import is 20 days before the import. The storage fee is calculated from the day of import, and is calculated according to the storage rate of 20 days inventory age. The storage fee system will not calculate 20 days before the import, and the warehouse needs to use other methods to settle.
